I only recently downloaded collabora on my Samsung s23fe, but I can’t use it as every file gets corrupted.

I open a file, edit it, click on the little tick at the top left, then exit. When I try to open the file again, I get an error message about a temp file being corrupted.

If I click repair,I then get a nodocloaded error while parsing command message, when i then click Close the doc opens but the contents are not showing.

If I select not to repair, I get a different message about window command and nodocloaded, then I click close and nothing happens.

I’ve tried with files that had data and empty test files, and with xlsx and ods files, same happens.

Not sure what I’m doing wrong.

I would quite like to cancel my microsoft subscription, so it would be nice if this could be fixed.

Thanks

Amy

Hi @amyci,

Sorry to hear about the crash! I’ve created a GitHub issue to track this. I’ll investigate and test it to identify what’s causing the problem and keep you updated.

Thanks for providing such a detailed report. It really helps!

Hi @amyci

Hi @amyci,

Thanks for the detailed description, and sorry for the frustration. Opening a file, editing it, saving with the tick, and reopening it should work.

I tried to reproduce this on a Samsung A17 and didn’t see any file corruption. I have attached a screen recording of my experience. It seems something specific to your setup may be triggering it. A few details would help us track it down:

1. **Collabora Office version:** you can find this under the app’s _About_ section.
2. **Android version** on your S23 FE.
3. **File location:** are the files stored on internal storage, an SD card, or a cloud service such as Google Drive or OneDrive?

It would also help if you could retest with our latest snapshot build, which includes recent fixes: [Collabora Office Android Snapshots](https://www.collaboraoffice.com/downloads/Collabora-Office-Android-Snapshot/)

If the problem still happens with that build, please let us know. We’d really like to get this working for you.

Regards,
Ezinne
