Commercial and Free version side by side?

Hi

I have a shared server for my customers for web hosting. They use Nextcloud. I’m currently running the free version of Collabora that is connected with the NC instances of customers. I have setup a proxy server with Collabora and that works most of time (far to be perfect but that’s an other subject).

I’d like to offer the Collabora paid version for customers interested. Is it possible to run both the Free and the paid version of Collabora on same server ? each one with its own proxy server of course. I use only deb packages so please don’t offer docker or solutions like that.

No you can’t run the free and paid Collabora .deb packages side by side on the same server because they use the same service name, ports, and paths. You’ll need a separate VM, container, or server for the paid version

Thanks for confirmation I was a little afraid of that so I’ll pass on pro version for now as I’m not going to setup a new server just to run the paid version.
