Caolan

  • fair queue for CI: owner-fair-queue, a jenkins queue sorter where each person’s oldest push goes next, instead of the oldest push
  • impress autofit now shrinks line spacing before font size, like ppt, in review

      • Finally ad4bb8ae080a and 591932953239 (encrypted case) to shrink the file size (e.g., 13.5 MB → 2.4 MB)
        • Encryption case required an audit of several hundreds of documents, to check if the work didn’t expose unencrypted data

Tomaz

Vector rendering for online:

  • Text layout prediction
    • Improve fidelity by tracking and buffering what keys were sent to the server
    • This makes it possible to properly merge the changes from the server and apply the keys that are still pending
    • Prepared as a branch
    • Now we need to merge that with other vector rendering changes.
  • Animations for slideshows
    • TODO
  • Adding support for missing primitives
    • Merged gradient, hatches, image fills for shapes
    • Available patterns
    • Next shadow, grow, soft edge
      • Of course modern “IE” browser engine a.k.a. Safari doesn’t support CanvasRenderingContext2D.filter
      • Need to do blurring with shadowBlur, but might be more limited
  • Merging the combined architecture patches
    • 17 down

Editeng hyperlinks as attributes (not fields)

  • Have a series of patches, need review and confirm it works as expected
  • Use the old algorithm when the legacy flag is set
    • if the settings aren’t available at all - use the new behavior
    • also limit the legacy flag for ODF 1.4 documents (1.3 is always legacy, 1.5 is always new)
    • this makes the legacy flag very limited in scope

Worked on:

Hi Quikee,

Editeng hyperlinks as attributes (not fields)

  • Have a series of patches, need review and confirm it works as expected
  • Use the old algorithm when the legacy flag is set
o if the settings aren’t available at all - use the new behavior
o also limit the legacy flag for ODF 1.4 documents (1.3 is always
    legacy, 1.5 is always new)
o this makes the legacy flag very limited in scope

Lovely  Would be lovely to get that in! I wonder if there any auto-text-fitting horrors that go with URLs which Caolan might have an interest in polishing too.

Good stuff,

Michael.
