Where is it possible to manage macros in CODE?

Hi everyone!
it is my first time here and practically a new-born using Collabora (CODE) in my Nextcloud instance. So if this post lacks something necessary, just point it and I will update the post!

I am interested in the use of macros in Collabora. Thanks to the below answer I was able to enable them and now I see the “Run macro” button correctly.

However, my searches about how to mange the macros library and how to create one using CODE hasn’t been successful. After all my searches, I really don’t know if the macros must be created inside the container in which I run CODE or in some part of the Nextcloud interface (in case this depends of the Nextcloud extension, just tell me and I will request support there too!).

Could someone point me in the right direction?

My environment is the next one:

  • Nextcloud 29.0.5
  • Collabora Online Development Edition 24.04.7.1 61cf2b4

Thank you very much in advance!

Regards

Update: I just discover that I can create a macro with LibreOffice Basic, attach it to the document, upload it to Nextcloud, open it with CODE and see the macro attached to the document.

It is nice to have this possibility, although I am still interested in knowing if it is possible to manage completely the macros from CODE without needing to use LibreOffice to create them.

Hii @ivanhercaz Welcome to Collabora online forums.

Awesome :tada: @ivanhercaz

Managing and creating macros entirely within Collabora CODE (without relying on LibreOffice desktop) is a challenge, as Collabora Online (including CODE) doesn’t yet fully support macro development through its interface. Currently, there are limitations in CODE for creating, editing, and managing macros natively within the online environment

Thanks,
Darshan

Thank you very much for your answer, @darshan!

All right! And no problem. I will only need to use LibreOffice to write and test them. And it is easy to make because the file will be synchronized with Nextcloud, so no problem! At the end, once I developed a macro and ensure it works, I will only change it if I have other requirement to fill.

Again, thank you very much for your help!

Regards,
Iván
