Good morning
I want to replace in the collaborative tool the point by a comma when marking a numeric value in the cell.
I can’t find it in the options or even changing the language.
THANKS
version COOLWSD :21.11.5.3
Nico - a good question; this is almost certainly a property of the language that is set for the document; you can often change that in the status bar for the whole document; or even for a range of text. To change the default - it’s necessary to either tweak the templates - or ensure that your language is changed before creating the document. Hope that helps.
Hey @Nicod24,
Welcome to the forum. ![]()
I want to replace in the collaborative tool the point by a comma when marking a numeric value in the cell. I can’t find it in the options […]
So, you wanted to change numbers like:
123.45→123,45678.90→678,90
where your decimal place would go from using a . (period) to a , (comma)?
This can be done by
A. Using the Mouse
- Highlight your cells.
- Right-Click > Format
B. Using the Menus
- Go to “Format” Tab.
- Press “Format Cells” button.
Both of these will lead you to the “Format Cells” window + “Numbers” tab, which would look like this:
From there, you can adjust your Language (or number formatting) as usual.
For example, if you changed the “Language” dropdown from:
English (USA)→German (Germany)
you would get the COMMA instead of PERIOD.
And, like mmeeks said, you could do some more document-wide changes instead… but hopefully the above instructions fix your problem. ![]()
