Completed action items

  • Lets use other Windows physical hardware – with a VM on it (Adria)

    • Mitch is on it as a sysadmin task

  • try the “disable optimization” idea (Caolan)

    • there was *more* warnings, so that is taken care of, not worse, maybe a little better

  • Already generated a cowasm package, to test here: https://www.collaboraoffice.com/downloads/COOL-Wasm-Nightly/ (Adria)

Pending action items

  • wasm: generate a separate WASM package in due course with the necessary blob (Adria)

Agenda Items

  • Removal of Classic-related code e.g. https://gerrit.collaboraoffice.com/c/online/+/3873 “cool#15913 Remove internal/native slideshow from sd” (Noel)

    • IIUC this is the first commit that really drops the major functionality from the Classic part of the suite; this is normal, follows the direction – just IMO we need to disable Classic as a build option completely. (Mike)

    • There is a largest change by now that removes large parts of sd code, which makes impress basically unusable in classic (Mike)

    • Not really – that chance will result in an impress with no slideshow, and none of that code runs in online or CODA. Would like to keep desktop as testcase infra without crashing or slideshow and keep that working! (Thorsten)

    • The spell checking dialog edit area was also made effectively non-classic already (Caolán)

    • Slideshow removal alone: not enough to kill classic desktop in the monorepo. Removing the rest though is orthogonal to that idea. (Thorsten)

    • The direction of travel looks to me to make the distro lokit flags the default without using any explicit use, (Caolan)

    • Week 27: Turnaround time is 54 min (median of last 42 SUCCESS/FAILURE builds)

      • last-week was 2 hr 6 min avg and 6 hr 29 min last Wed

    • builds are more distributed during the day, and the queue peaks were less

      • build and queue metrics:

        • worst cases: windows 2:30h in queue, flatpak build 1:30h . This week much better since the commits are not entering the checks in “peaks” but more distributed during the day
