We have integrated Collabora CODE via WOPI in our app. Now we have a need to log and track a document changes made by users.
Ideal solution we would like to have is to always keep all changes in Edit > Track Changes. But currently after saving changes and opening a document again this information is empty. It works only during a working session with a document.
A partially acceptable solution we would like to have is to have information about the user and about when the user made changes into a particular document. However, integration via WOPI does not provide this possibility.

The changes you see in the Track Changes dialog are supposed to be saved to ODT/DOCX files, so if you notice that this information is missing after reloading the document, it could indicate a bug.
Could you help by filing a GitHub issue to address this? You can use this link to create the report: Create a GitHub Issue. It would be helpful to include steps to reproduce the problem for clarity!
I recommend trying Collabora Online with Nextcloud integration, which tracks all document changes, including who made them and when. It provides a full history of edits, even after saving and reopening files.
