I have multiple tabs in my spreadsheet file.
The only way that I see to go left and right my numerous tabs is to use the arrows that are there. This either brings you to the extreme right of left of the row of tabs, or maybe 1/4" at a time.
I was hoping to have a slider to allow me to move back and forth.
Does this exist? It would be so much easier and faster with a slider as well.
Thanks for any ideas.
Joseph
Hello @smokinjo ,
I’ve filed a feature request on GitHub for this. You can find it here: Add a Slider for Navigating Spreadsheet Tabs · Issue #9937 · CollaboraOnline/online · GitHub .
This would indeed be an improvement to have in the product. Thanks for your valuable feedback! I also encourage you to join the discussion on the GitHub issue and add any more points that you think would be helpful.
Thanks,
Darshan

Hii @smokinjo it seems like we already have scroll feature. Thanks to Pedro for guiding me there.
You can scroll around sheet tabs using SHIFT
+ scroll

Description:
In spreadsheets with numerous tabs, navigating between them usin… g the current arrow buttons is slow and cumbersome. The arrows either jump to the extreme left or right, or move incrementally by very small amounts. This makes it difficult to efficiently switch between tabs, especially in larger files.
Request:
I propose adding a slider to the tab navigation area, allowing users to quickly and easily scroll through their tabs. A slider would provide a much faster and more intuitive way to navigate, enhancing the overall user experience.
Thanks,
Darshan
Hi there
I tried your shift scroll.
But, what does “scroll” mean?
I use my mouse to click on the single arrow button, normally.
What is the scroll that you speak of?
@smokinjo sorry i forgot to mention :). It’s a mouse scroll
Please put your cursor on the tabs area and then press shift
+ mouse scroll you can see the tabs movment
I do shift and mouse scroll.
It moves the spreadsheet left and right.
The tabs do not move, or change in any way.
Wait, let me share a small recording with you
@smokinjo please ping me again if you’re still facing some problem here
Thanks,
Darshan
OK, I see that the feature does work.
If I understand you correctly, you need to:
1 - hover the mouse over the row of tabs.
2 - press shift
3 - scroll the mouse wheel
right?
I do this, but to no avail.
If it matters, I am using linux, and firefox.
When I over over the cells, it the cells scroll left and right. But, not when hovering over the tabs.
Thanks
Yes correct
@smokinjo Question do you have enough sheets open to scroll around ?
When I over over the cells, it the cells scroll left and right. But, not when hovering over the tabs.
These means, do you still facing issues while scrolling ?
Yes, the issue remains. I can not scroll the tabs, as I saw you do it.
Thanks

Thanks, @smokinjo , we will investigate on this. As of now this feature works okay for normal browser, so maybe best to close this topic with the given solution.
I will file a new issue report specific for your configuration, and we will further investigate on that.
Thanks for the feedback , Appreciated
Darshan
