In an exciting episode of the ongoing saga of The Document Foundation (TDF), their Membership Committee has decided that in order to grow the community and accelerate its mission – it would be fitting to eject from membership all Collabora staff and partners.
We switch to gerrit.collaboraoffice.com today. This is the first time we do this, please be patient.
- Go to https://gerrit.collaboraoffice.com/ and log in with your GitHub account. Change your email to your collabora email and upload your ssh key. You’ll get committer rights later, but you are ready to submit patches immediately.
- Stop using gerrit.libreoffice.org. Do not push anything there for collabora branches today. Save your open changesets and push them to gerrit.collaboraoffice.com. I’ll sync gerrit.libreoffice.org to gerrit.collaboraoffice.com this morning. I mean the git content, not the open changesets. After that gerrit.libreoffice.org is abandoned in terms collabora branches.
- It takes a few hours to change CI to use gerrit.collaboraoffice.com, so let’s not push excessive number of patches to core today.
- Instead of distro/collabora/co-26.04 branch we use main on gerrit.collaboraoffice.com
- During the transition be very careful and do not push to wrong remote by mistake. If you are not familiar with multiple git remotes, it’s better if you do not do anything until the dust settles.
