Bug when panning accross cells

Hello,

I’m a new user of Collabora on a self-hosted instance connected to Nextcloud.

My team and I often experience a rather annoying bug when trying to select a range of cells, where the selection follows the mouse even after the mouse click has been released.

Has anyone experienced this and has an idea on how to fix this?

Hi Luis, thank you for reporting this. What version of Collabora Online are you using (Help > About)? Which web browser and version? What Operating System? Can you try to get a screen recording?

Here is the Collabora Online info:

COOLWSD version: 25.04.9.4 (git hash: 4610258811 (E))
LOKit version: Collabora Office 25.04.9.4 (git hash: bbf180856f)
WOPI host: nextcloud 33.0.4.1 - richdocuments 10.2.0

It happened on

  • Linux Ubuntu 22.04.1 and Firefox 153.0.1

  • Windows 11 Professional (build 26200.9168) and Microsoft Edge 151.0.4129.86

Here is a screen recording. It doesn’t show when I release the button but after the first selection I released it and then the selection continued following my mouse.
This does not always happen. I did 5-6 selections before it happened.

Hi, thanks for the detail, when this happens, does:

  • Pressing the Esc key fix it
  • and/or clicking once more on any neutral area fix it?
  • and/or hover the pointer over a top toolbar fix it?

Can you file a bug on Issues · CollaboraOnline/online · GitHub ? It might prompt for more information when logging the bug and you would have the detail. But I can have a do if you like, just let me know.
