CODE 21.11.6 fails for specific files (which work in CODE 6.4.x)

Hi all,

Did anyone here experience something similar?

I just tried to upgrade from CODE 6.4 to 21.11.6 and it went smooth so far.

It also works, meaning I can open spreadsheets and text documents, and it will load in the shine new CODE version.

However, one of my most important documents will not load at all, but also does not ouput any error message. This specific spreadsheet worked fine in CODE 6.4, but cannot be opened with COOL 21.11.6.

From a user’s point of view, either:

  • Some parts of CODE like menu bar, status bar and also sidebar, if expanded, load and display fine, however the document area stays white,
  • or on other occasions the screen stays in the loading-artwork, and the progress bar is stuck at 0%.

Unfortunately, in both cases there’s nothing interesting in the COOL logs for this file:

These log messages look basically the same for files that work.

I opened a bug for this but thought maybe someone here could confirm my observations and/or has any idea?

Let’s note here as well that the issue is resolved in version 21.11.1.1. Thanks for reporting!
