I have a Collabora installation with Nextcloud on a TrueNAS system.
TrueNAS SCALE Fangtooth 25.04
Collabora: App Version: v25.04.4.1.1 (Version: v1.3.7)
Nextcloud: App Version: v31.0.7 (Version:v2.0.11)
Collabora is installed from the TrueNAS catalogue with the server name: 192.168.0.111:9980 (enable webUI). At least this way the server is up and running.
Certificate: ‘truenas_default’ Certificate
WebUI opens this page: 192.168.0.111:9980/browser/dist/admin/admin.html
Nextcloud is used with Nginx Proxy manager and with the host: https://nextcloud.mydomain - this works well.
Collabora and Nextcloud is configured like this:
This way is the closest to working. The office files even have preview thumbnails in Nextcloud.
The error message when I try to open any office file format from Nextcloud:
Error - Failed to open the requested file.
I have already tried many configuration options. I have followed this guide because the Nextcloud installation was successful and good explanatory: A full guide for installing Nextcloud on TrueNAS Scale with Collabora integration and outside access through Nginx Proxy Manager - Resources - TrueNAS Community Forums
The result is the same if I setup a host in Nginx Proxy Manager for Collabora with the name: collabora.mydomain → destination: 192.168.0.111:9980
When I tried to install Collabora from the TrueNAS catalogue with the server name: collabora.mydomain or collabora.mydomain:9980 → then the WebUI showed “the server has been shut down, etc.”
I have already checked the logs for any trace but found not much.
Do you have any idea what should I do different, what could be the solution here?
