Collabora Office apps on Linux Mint

I was able to install Collabora Office on Linux Mint by following the instructions here:

https://ostechnix.com/collabora-office-linux-desktop-release/

However, the only app that I can open is Writer, shown as Collabora Office. How do I open Calc, Impress, and Draw?

Thanks,
Kevin

hi @krwudtke

If Writer is opening correctly, then Calc and Impress should open the same way — just launch a .ods file for Calc or a .odp file for Impress, or use the application launcher where “Collabora Office Calc” and “Collabora Office Impress” should also appear after installation.

As for Draw: it isn’t included in the Collabora Office desktop suite yet, so that’s why you won’t find it in the menu.

Thanks, but that’s the problem, “Collabora Office Calc” and “Collabora Office Impress” aren’t shown in my application launcher in Mint with Cinnamon. Or is there some other launcher that you are referring to?

@krwudtke open collabora office => file tab => choose the file you want to open

Thanks. I just found that. Is there a way to get the individual apps into the app menu shown above? I’m still kind of new at Linux.

@krwudtke nope not at the moment but you can add that feature by helping us

Check the community website and get see how you can get started with contribution  https://collaboraonline.github.io/

Thanks
