I just have installed Collabora Office Dektop on a Mac via the App store. When I try to use a font that is installed on the Mac I don’t see it in the list of available fonts. Also fonts in current documents used are not available. When I open the document in LibreOffice all fonts are available.
On macOS App Store builds of Collabora Office, user-installed fonts currently don’t show up inside the application. Collabora Office uses its own bundled fontconfig, and right now it doesn’t scan the macOS user font locations such as:
~/Library/Fonts/
or system font locations like:
/Library/Fonts/
LibreOffice does, which is why the same fonts appear there but not in Collabora Office Desktop.
This is a known limitation, not something you’re doing wrong. We’re already looking into updating the font lookup so the App Store version can read fonts from the standard macOS font directories. Once that lands, the fonts you’ve installed will appear normally in the font list.
So this is effectively a bug, and support for macOS user fonts will come in a future update.
