How to Install Fonts for Collabora Office Desktop on Windows?

Hi everyone,

I’m using Collabora Office Desktop on Windows, but I’m having trouble getting some custom fonts to work within the application. The fonts are installed on Windows and show up in other programs, but they’re not appearing in Collabora Office Desktop.

Has anyone successfully added new fonts to Collabora Office Desktop on Windows? If so, could you please share the steps or any tips on how to make them available in the font list?

Collabora Office for Desktop is installed over the Microsoft Store.

Thank you in advance!

Hi @JB1985 thanks for checking

Collabora Office Desktop on Windows currently does not read fonts installed only for the current user (the per-user font directory). Windows Store apps in particular behave differently regarding where fonts are loaded from.

For example, Source Code Pro installed per-user ends up in a path like:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts\

These fonts appear in other Windows apps but do not show up in Collabora Office because fontconfig (the library that handles fonts for Collabora/LibreOffice) does not yet scan this per-user font directory.

This will make them appear normally inside Collabora Office on Windows in an upcoming release.

If you’d like, I can help create a GitHub issue to track this so users can follow its progress.
