Collabora Office won't open password protected documents

I am running Collabora Office 24.04.6.2 on a Samsung Tab S6 Lite running Android 14.

When I try opening a document created by LibreOffice and saved with a password I get a box indicating that the document is loading and that’s it. I never get to the point when I’m asked for the password and Collabora is frozen.

I also run Collabora 24.04.7.3 on a Samsung A70 phone running Android 11 and it will open the same document (located on Google Drive) after requesting the password,

Does anyone have any idea why I can’t open these files on my tablet?

I see you’re using version 24.04.6.2 on your Samsung Tab S6 Lite. Since this is an older version, it’s possible there are some issues that could cause the behavior you’re experiencing. I recommend updating to the latest version of Collabora Office, 24.04.7.3, as it will likely have improvements and bug fixes that can address this problem.

I checked the play store and there is no update for my Tab S6. The last update was dated Oct. 6th and it is installed.

hii @DennyM I just tried to open a password-protected file on my tablet. It works fine, I can open it in “Read only” mode.

My config:

Tablet: Samsung tab A8
Collabora office version: 24.04.7.3

I tried the test file you attached but had the same result as with my own files on my Tab S6. On my phone it opened to the point where it asked the password but I don’t know what that is so couldn’t go any further.

What version of Adroid do you have on your Tab A8?

My tab’s Version is: android 14

I’m now running 24.04.7.3 but still can’t open password protected files.

hii @DennyM maybe this is related with android version. As i can not reproduce this with my tab and with BrowserStack as well
