Connect to Server feature missing in Android (F-Droid) app

I’ve just installed Collabora Office on Android (GrapheneOS) and iOS. I’m trying to connect my devices to my Collabora server.

In the iOS app, there is a “Connect to Server” feature. In the Android app, I do not see any way to connect to a server. I’ve tried the following from the F-Droid repo:

  1. Collabora Office Snapshot v25.04.99-873 (I actually see two of these in F-Droid. The only difference between the two is the file size - 258.2 MiB vs 160. I installed the 258.2 MiB)
  2. Collabora Office v25.04.6.2

I’ve granted the Android app network permissions. What am I missing? Is the Android app local-only?

Here is another screenshot (I can only upload one at a time). Not seeing anywhere to connect to a server:

  1. +icon lets me create new files
  2. Folder icon lets me open local files
  3. Hamburger menu only shows
    1. Settings, which has no server connection

Hi @starboy98 Welcome to collabora online forum

That’s not actually a feature in either the iOS or Android Collabora Office app. What you’re seeing on iOS is the “Connect to Server” option that belongs to the iOS file browser, not Collabora Office itself.

On Android, you can achieve a similar result using file providers. For example, if you want to access files over WebDAV, you can use an app like DAVx⁵ to make your WebDAV server browseable within Android’s file picker.

So, this functionality is provided by the operating system, not by Collabora Office. Neither the iOS nor Android app has a built-in way to connect directly to a Collabora Online server and use it remotely.
