  • Present: Raul, Rashesh, Ivana, Banobe, Pedro, Sahil

  • Raul:

    • dark mode: commented section highlight undistinguishable from dark blackground

      current fix I have in mind: bright outline around the highlight

      • Ivana: try to maybe change the colour, to avoid adding a border and more info

        • check how many colours do we have for users

        • and then test if they are accessible on light and dark mode

        • if they are not then you need to change the hex (and match the style of the colour → hue, saturation… values)

    • formula notebookbar tab: some formulas are stretched, some expanded containers have weird rows

      • If there is no user-defined formulas hide that category → file it as an easy hack

      • → preview 2 rows only if height allows without squishing the formulas, otherwise just one – low priority → file it as an easy hack

    • Next Impress Animation sidebar to notebookbar tab

  • Ivana

    • Impress: improve co-editing of shapes

    • Writer: copy icon alignment (home tab/clipboard group) → low prio/enhancement

      • WE can either do it for those 2 to 4 cases via ugly css declarations (we should find all of them)

      • Or we can came up with an exception that gets changed in JSdialogbuilder

        • Every grid with unobutton dropdown

    • To-do: CODA onboarding – check if flow for online fits CODA and if we should skip any of the steps

      • Checked with Darshan how he implemented (if only for online or CODA)

    • Tabbed UI: Unsaved changes indicator (*)

      • Presenter Console: what to do when there are long notes and the user is using a remote control

        • Ivana: This seems to be a very edge case

      • How to show long notes:
        Very often whomever is presenting has a remote control in one hand and a microphone in the other.

      • The remote basically gives them a forward button, and a back-button - and the idea that they can pause their talk to use the mouse, to hit a precise / small window, to drag a scroll bar, to see the speaker notes that are meant to make their talk fluid.

        • Pedro: This would result in bad UX. Bad user experience for the user that clicked twice and is talking already about the next slide for 10 min to then be pinged by the audience that the slide is still the previous one, etc.

        • Pedro: If we want to improve the situation for that edge case then we should just have possibility to:

          • Have a notes dedicated view

            • as a 1st step make the vertical divider draggable so the notes section occupies more space

          • Able to swap notes as a main thing

          • And make sure we remember the layout for next time.

      • Co-editing flow

          • On different zoom level pill obstructs the view

          • I will change
