Persistent Smart Quotes and Missing AutoCorrect Options Dialog on iPadOS (v25.04.9.1)

  1. App Version: Collabora Office 25.04.9.1 (git hash: 8c59376f2a)
  2. Environment: iPadOS, External Hardware Keyboard
  3. Summary: Despite disabling “Smart Punctuation” in iPadOS system settings (both Global and Hardware Keyboard) and unchecking [Tools > AutoCorrect > While Typing] within the app, the engine still forces the replacement of straight quotes (") with curly/smart quotes (). Furthermore, the advanced “AutoCorrect Options…” dialog is missing from the mobile/ribbon UI, preventing users from manually disabling quote replacement in the “Localized Options” tab.
  4. Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Go to iPadOS Settings > General > Keyboard (& Hardware Keyboard) and toggle “Smart Punctuation” to OFF.

    2. In Collabora Office, uncheck [Tools > AutoCorrect > While Typing].

    3. Set the document or selection language to “None” or “Korean”.

    4. Type a double quote (") using a hardware keyboard.

  5. Expected Result: The straight quote (") should remain as typed.
  6. Actual Result: The app engine automatically replaces it with a curly quote ().
  7. Additional Notes: The “AutoCorrect Options…” dialog window, which provides granular control over quote replacement, is completely inaccessible in the current mobile/tablet UI. This appears to be a regression or a UI limitation that makes it impossible to override hardcoded autocorrect behaviors.
