as it says in the title, i’m completely unable to open any dropbox files on the collabora app even tho i can load them just fine on my Chromebook. i was hoping that this could be a good alternative to google docs but i’m a bit disappointed that i can’t get it to work. what could the problem be?

First, some basic info:
- Which version of Collabora Office?
- Which device + version of iOS?

On your iOS device:

Are you able to SEE your Dropbox files?

And you click on them and they don’t open?

Is there any error message that appears?

What are the filetypes you are trying to open? (DOCX, ODT, …)

If you download the file to your phone locally, THEN try to open using Collabora Office, does it work?
what could the problem be?

when i tried before to access my files on my iphone after saving to dropbox on the collabora app for my chromebook, the files would appear but be greyed out/untappable. i tried both docx and odt and neither would work.
but i decided to uninstall collabora to see if maybe it was just a glitch (then promptly forgot to reinstall it… oops). anyway, everything seems to work fine now that i’ve reinstalled the app on both chromebook and my iphone.

Must have just been some weird quirk between Dropbox+Collabora.
