UX/UI vs UI/UX
- First one is UX (user experience design) – research, problem solving, wireframing, userflows … – designing how product should behave and what problems it resolves
- Second one is UI (user interface design) – choosing colours, type, animation, designing design system components … – basically is the visual part of design, good-looking part.
-
Less is more rule (Arrow styles changes)
- Ivana’s point: there is many options for markers, maybe we could lose some of them (example: there are six different variants of what is essentially the same simple arrow. 6 styles)
- Heiko: be careful, some of these styles are not decorative variants but come from standards (UML line is standard), so check before concluding anything.

The overflow-group mess
- Not obvious from the first looks if
- it’s one button or a pair of “a button and an arrow expander”
- conclusion: we do not change UI, because we have different hover effects
- if two buttons → hover opacity change is done only on one or second button
- if one button → hover opacity change is done on whole button
- conclusion: we do not change UI, because we have different hover effects
- the arrow is disabled or the button is disabled
- conclusion: in cases where we have group of two buttons and first option is disabled (when we have overflow-group) then we change this overflow group into one button group
- it’s one button or a pair of “a button and an arrow expander”
- Not obvious from the first looks if
