COOL Writer: Compare two files files programmatically

Hi everyone!

First post so I’d like to start with a big thank you for all the work on Collabora Online.

We are analyzing the use of Collabora Online and we’re trying to figure out if it would be possible to programmatically compare two files with Writer. After the good work of László Németh adding more features to tracking changes, it would be great to have the option to easily compare different files on the server. Today, users have to manually open Writer in their local computer, select the two files to compare, and then see the compared file. It would a fantastic addition to the Collabora Online API to have an way to programmatically make that comparison and returning the compared file.

Any input would be much appreciated.

Hi you Jaime and welcome to the forum!
Currently .uno:CompareDocuments is one unsupported commands and so it
is, as of today, not possible to compare documents. Nevertheless I
appreciate the feedback and I will ping the team about. In the meantime
please feel free to add it as a feature request:
