Hello everyone,
I’m a complete newcomer to this community, so I hope this is the right place to ask.
I would really like to use Nextcloud together with the Collabora Online integration as a long-term replacement for Google Drive. With every new release, I keep hoping that one particular issue has been solved. Unfortunately, so far without success.
I strongly prefer keyboard-driven workflows and avoid using the mouse whenever possible. For example, on macOS in Chromium-based browsers, I switch between tabs using shortcuts like CMD+1, CMD+2, CMD+3, etc. These are habits I’ve trained over many years and would prefer not to change.
However, these shortcuts regularly cause frustration in Collabora:
-
In Writer,
CMD+1formats text as Heading 1. -
In Calc, the same shortcut opens formatting-related dialogs/panels.
As far as I can tell, there is no way to disable or remap these keyboard shortcuts, either in Collabora or via configuration.
So my question to the community is:
-
Is this a known issue?
-
Are there existing workarounds or solutions?
-
Is shortcut customization or disabling application shortcuts planned for future versions?
I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you.
